What is to believe Jesus Christ?

[The True Gospel of Jesus Christ is not to believe the story of Jesus Christ, but it is to believe what Jesus Christ tells us to do for our eternal life, and to do them. All other gospels are false gospels and they are deceptions of Satan.]

1. What is to believe a Person?

If we believe that a person is strong, he is six feet tall, he has a lot of money, he gives big donations, etc, all these are believing about the person, but not believing the person. But, if the person told you that he will give one million dollar to you, if you go to his house the next day and ring his door bell at 6:00 am, then if you believe him and if you like to get the million dollar, you will ring his door bell the next day at 6:00 am. If you do what Jesus Christ told you to do, it is the proof of your belief in him. This is believing. So, in order to believe someone, the person must tell you something. If you believe what he says, it is believing the person. Now, let us see what is to believe Jesus Christ.

2. What is to believe Jesus Christ?

Christians think that they believe Jesus Christ. But, in reality they believe many things about Jesus Christ. That is, they believe their preachers, who tells many things about Jesus Christ and it is actually believing preachers. Believing Jesus Christ is to believe what Jesus Christ tells us. If he tells us what to do to inherit eternal life, we must do what Jesus Christ tells us to do, to inherit eternal life. This is believing Jesus Christ. On the other hand, if we believe that he has done miracles, raised the dead, and he died for our sins on the cross, it is believing things about him, but it is not not believing him. So it will not give us eternal life. But, preachers tell us that it is enough to believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins on the cross, etc, it is good enough for us to inherit eternal life, even if we do not do what Jesus tells us to do. But, believing preachers will not qualify us to inherit eternal life. If we do not do what Jesus Christ tells us to do, it is not believing Jesus Christ, but it is believing preachers. They argue saying; that they still believe Jesus Christ that he will take them to heaven. It is deceptive argument and it is lie of preachers. 'Believe Jesus Christ', is to believe what Jesus Christ says, but not what preachers say what Jesus Christ will do. These preachers lie to deceive people. If we believe Jesus Christ, we will do what Jesus Christ tells us to do to inherit eternal life.

Christians believe things about Jesus Christ, but they do not believe what Jesus Christ has preached. For example: Jesus Christ said, "John 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin." But, Christians commit sin and call themselves as servants of God, but not servants of sin. "Matthew 7:24 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." But Christians do not believe what Jesus Christ has said. They commit sins like others; they do not do the will of God the Father, and keep calling Jesus Christ as Lord. However, they believe preachers, who say that Jesus Christ will take them to heaven. In short, Christians believe the preachers, but not the Lord Jesus Christ.

3. Another Jesus and False Christs in the Bible

The Bible teaches about the Lord Jesus Christ. It also cautions about another Jesus and false Christs. Let us study about it from the Bible. 'God the Word' became 'flesh' who was Jesus of Nazareth. At this point, he was not Christ, but he will become 'the Christ'. He was crucified, died, buried and was resurrected. This resurrected Jesus was made Lord and Christ according to Acts 2:36. It says, "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ." So, the resurrected Jesus is the Lord Jesus Christ and he is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, 'Spirit'. Then, Jesus of Nazareth, who was a man, became history and he does not exist anymore. Most Christians do not understand this transformation. Now, Jesus Christ is Omnipotent Spirit, but he is not a legend came out of the crucified Jesus of Nazareth. He is Spirit and he is God, who is Lord Jesus Christ. We must worship him as Truth and Spirit, who is God Jesus Christ, but not as the legend of Jesus of Nazareth. The legend Jesus Christ exists only in the minds of the people, and he is not real. The resurrected Lord Jesus Christ is Spirit. Further, 2 Corinthians 11 says, "2 that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, 4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached," This another Jesus Christ will accept sinners as they are, without converting them as chaste virgins. Famous preachers preach this Jesus as God, whereas the Bible says that this Jesus is another Jesus, who is a false Jesus Christ. The true Jesus Christ has the power to convert sinners, before he accepts them to his kingdom. Jesus Christ himself warns his followers saying in Matthew 24:24, "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." See, false Jesus Christs have power to do miracles and signs. They have power to heal people, prophesy (sorcery) and such, but do not have power to convert a sinner to holy life. False Jesus Christ promises to accept sinners as they are, into God's kingdom, which is a lie.  So, we must pay attention so that we may not accept and worship a false Jesus Christ as our God. 2 Thessalonians 2:4 says, "Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God." That is, Satan himself shows that he is Jesus Christ in churches so that Christians may worship Satan as Jesus Christ. This is too big of all deceptions.

4. Do we truly believe the Real Lord Jesus Christ?

Let me repeat what I have explained it before about believing a person. If a person comes to you and asks, whether you believe him or not, what kind of answer can you give? Believing always refers to an information that is told and whether we accept the information as true or not. Believing a person is not to believe whether a person is short or tall or something about the person, but to believe what he says.

Someone says, "I believe Jesus Christ". If we ask him how, he may refer to the miracles and healings that he has done, his death, resurrection, etc, which he has done or which happened to him. But, it is not believing Jesus Christ, but it is believing something about Jesus Christ. However, believe the Lord Jesus Christ is to believe what he has said, and not just believing the things said about him. But, if a person believe what Jesus Christ has preached, or Jesus Christ has said, then it is believing Jesus Christ. For an example: Jesus Christ tells us what we must do to inherit the kingdom of God. If we believe what he says, it is believing him. If we believe him and if we desire to inherit the kingdom, we will do what he tells us to do. This will be proof that we believe him. This will avoid the liars and true believers will do what he tells us to do. So, if we really believe him, we will do what he tells us to do. This is believing Jesus Christ. So, if someone says, "I believe Jesus Christ," ask him whether he does what Jesus Christ tells us to do. If he does then his belief is genuine. If not, his belief is fake. Another example: Jesus Christ says in John 14: "15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. 21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me:" So, if someone says that he loves Jesus Christ, ask him whether he keeps his commandments. If he says "no," then he either does not love Jesus Christ or he does not believe what Jesus Christ says. So, believing Jesus Christ is to believe what he says and must be backed up by proof, or else it will be a meaningless lie. Every Christian think that he believe Jesus Christ, but most of them do not believe what he says.

5. More examples for True Belief

"Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?" To hear and believe what he says is good. Belief is not only making statements, but also doing them. That is, when we call Jesus Christ as our Lord, he requires us to mean what we call. That is, Lord means that he is our master. then we must obey our master. The point is, do we call him Lord as his first name or, as he is our boss and our owner? If we call him Lord as it is his name, then he says that we do not believe that he is Lord. Lord is his status, but not his name. Since he is Lord, he demands obedience as a commander demands obedience from a soldier. So, if we believe that he is our Lord, we must obey what he says. If we don't obey him and we say that he is our Lord, then we lie because our obedience is the one making him as our Lord. Then, believing on the Lord Jesus Christ is to believe his teachings and to obey his commandments. Jesus Christ says, obeying is proof of believing.

6. Commandments of Jesus

They are the same as the Commandments of God the Father. God the Father who was dwelling in the Man Jesus was speaking through him. "John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, ---. 24 --- the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me." Even though the commandments of God were given in the Old Testament settings, they are spiritual. "Romans 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual:" The New Testament was given in the perspective of the kingdom of heaven. It is neither pertained to the kingdom of Israel, nor pertained to the things of this world. God reveals the mysteries of his kingdom to his disciples, but to others it was not given to understand in that fashion. "Matthew 13:11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given."

The principle of the spiritual application of the commandments was also taught to the disciples. "Matthew 5:21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: 22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. 27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: 28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart."

They, who don't have the spirit, cannot even obey the Old Testament commandments. If it is so, how can they do the spiritual commandments of the New Testament without the spirit? So as usual, the false workers of Christianity twist God's word to justify themselves and to make it easy for their followers. "2 Peter 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction."

The obedience of the spiritual commandments comes naturally to those who are truly spiritual. It is not grievous (burdensome or difficult) for those who love him. "1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. 21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings:---." God says it clearly that those who does not love God, will not keep his commandments.

7. How to Become Spiritual?

By our own effort we cannot become spiritual. God has to give us the spirit of life, or we may say that God has to quicken us. In other words God has to give us the spirit man and the power of the Holy Spirit to enable us to live a spiritual life. If you have a sincere desire to become spiritual, so that you may obey God, then you must ask God to give you the holy spirit (this is not the baptism of the Holy Ghost) and it will be given to you. "Ephesians 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Luke 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 13 --- how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again." Those Christians, who believe on him, should receive the holy spirit. If they desire to obey God, God gives them the holy spirit. "John 7:39 But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive ---. Acts 5:32 --- and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him."

8. In Spirit and In Truth

We Christians worship God and are satisfied in the manner of our worship. Jesus Christ says that the true worshipper must worship God in spirit and in truth. If we truly believe the Lord Jesus Christ, we will obey him. "John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."

Believe what Jesus Christ says rather than to believe what preachers say about him. The truth will be understood by those who believe him, if we study his word and continue to obey what we have studied. "John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

It is not an option for a true Christian to receive the holy spirit. It is mandatory to a Christian because nobody can live a holy life without the spirit. But when they receive the holy spirit, they will receive power to live a holy life so that they will be a true witness unto Christ. "Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me ---."

God wants us to believe that he will reward those who diligently seek him. "Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." So God wants us to diligently seek him, to receive the holy spirit, and to live a holy life, so that we shall receive a great reward.

9. Signs and Wonders

'God the Word' became a 'mere man' voluntarily in order to die for the sins of the world. This action of God was prophesied long before it happened. "John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."

When God became a Man, it was supported by signs and wonders in order to show that it was him. "John 10:25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me. 37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. 38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him."

When the Lord Jesus sends his disciples to do the ministry, they were given signs and miracles in order to confirm that they were the servants of God. "Matthew 10:1 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works - than these shall he do; ---. Romans 15:19 Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ." The gospel of Christ is to preach the commandments of Jesus Christ so that believers may obey them and inherit the kingdom of God. Signs and wonders are not for people to get healed, etc, to live in sin and to be eternally damned. These kinds of miracles are done by false preachers, who are deceivers.

10. Miracles By God

Healings and wonderful miracles were done by Jesus of Nazareth. In reality they were all done by the power of 'God the Father' and 'God the Holy spirit'. Jesus said that he could not do anything without the Father and God the Father was doing the miracles through him. "John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. 30 I can of mine own self do nothing: ---  Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him." But, one supreme thing is that Jesus challenged that he could live with no sin. The challenge is not in doing miracles.

After the resurrection of Jesus Christ, he is seated in the right hand of power, as God. From then on, Spiritual and power manifestations are done by God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. "Acts 4:8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, 9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole; 10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole." God uses his servants to do what he wants to do. However, miracle of all miracles from God the Father that is given to us is this: we can live a holy life without blame before him in love: "Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:"

The devil can do miracles and imitate God. "Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." So, if a preacher does healings, miracles, and wonders, but if he does not lead people in holy life, then he is a false preacher, and he is not from God. So, all miracles are not from God.

11. Belief for Healing: and, Belief for Salvation

Healings done by Jesus Christ are recorded in the Bible. Jesus asked many of them whether they believed that he was able to heal them. They believed and he healed them. "Matthew 9:27 And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us. 28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. 29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. 30 And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it." The power of healing was given for a sign, but it was not for a propaganda or advertisement. Now a days, it is for advertisements for fame and money.

Here, blind men were healed. Does this mean that they were saved, because they believed on Jesus Christ to heal him? No! They were healed and not saved. "Acts 16:30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." Preachers pull such verses together and preach cheap salvation, implying that it is for eternal life. It is deception or just ignorance. The jailers were saved from committing suicide. They were scared to death and were probably asking the apostles what to do be saved from such dangers in the future. At this point they know nothing about eternal life, how could they ask a thing that they do not even know? So, we must believe that Jesus Christ will give us eternal life, if we will do what he tells us to do for eternal life. If we believe that, we will do what he tells us to do. Then, we "may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory."

12. What do we take away from this?

Salvation is eternal and it is spiritual. We must believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for our salvation. The knowledge and acceptance of the historical works of Jesus of Nazareth will not save anybody. The salvation of the soul cannot, and will not happen in an oath of promise, in a ceremony of acceptance, in leading a person through a prayer, or any such things. If we believe Jesus Christ, we will begin to obey him at least in the ceremonial things like water baptism, communion, etc. Then God will give us the spirit of life that is the holy spirit, who will lead us to walk in His ways. As we walk in His ways, God will lead us to eternal life. "Romans 2:7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:" May God reward you with eternal life.

God Bless You
