God is the Creator of all things. He created us with
souls that is in his own image.
Then, God the Word became poor to make us rich. That
is, he
left heaven to take us there. But, he rejects the disobedient.
"Gen 1:1
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."
In the beginning God is referred as the creator of the
Universe. No other gods in any religion is said to have been the creator of the
universe. God is the creator of all living beings in the universe including man
and women. He created them male and female for them to multiply. This God is
described as three Persons (Souls) in one Spirit Body. Because of his one Spirit
body, he is one person. Because of his Souls, he is
also considered three persons. The Bible
refers them as God, the Word of God, and the Spirit of God. These three persons,
as one person, created all that came to existence and God has set up for their
perpetual existence. The Creator of all is the only
True God. Men created all other gods.
Majority of the people in the world belongs to
some kind of a religion or a belief. They have gods or something which is
equivalent to a god. Hindus have many kinds of gods. Some of them worship a hero
of a play, drama, novel, etc. Some of them worship those who were great kings,
great warriors, handsome men, prettiest women, wisest persons, etc. Some of them
worship their close kindred who passed away. Some worship spirits, idols, stones, fire, water, earth, sun, moon,
etc. In this manner there are many gods in
Hinduism. In Judaism there is only one God. Even though there are many names
used for God, the familiar name they use is Jehovah. Islam worship only one god.
They claim that they worship the God of Abraham. But that is not true. Their god
is Allah and not Jehovah. God of Abraham is Almighty God Jehovah and not Allah. There are
many false gods which are made by men. People worship demonic
spirits. Lucifer was the prime angel of God and was rejected by God because of
his iniquity. He is known as the old serpent, the devil and Satan.
He shows himself as god, even to Christians, in order to be worshipped. He
comes as angel of light with the power that was given to him to deceive even
Christians. This Satan, in
disguise, is
worshipped as god by most religious people, including many theological Christians.
Science establishes the fact that even
an atom cannot be created from nothing. If this is the case, where did the world,
sun, moon and stars come from? How did the living beings including the intelligent human beings come
to existence? Whoever brought these into existence is the Creator and this
Creator is God. He exists from the everlasting
past. He is Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent. He is a
Spirit. Omnipotence is that he is all powerful. Absolutely nothing is impossible to him.
With his power he created the entire universe including the smallest atom therein,
with all its details. Omnipresence is that he is present anywhere and
everywhere. His presence is up in the skies, above the stars, under the oceans,
in hell, in heaven, and all over. Omniscience is that he knows everything there
is to know. He knows everybody from Adam until the end of the world, what
everybody thought and will think, etc. Science, history, future, nothing is
hidden from him. Such a person is God.
The Bible describes God as three Persons knitted in
one Spirit as one Person. These God Persons have different names, although they are jointly and individually called
God.
Before 'God the Word' became the ' Son of man,' the names of these three Persons were
'the
Most High God', 'the Word' and
'the
Spirit of God'. After the death, resurrection and ascension of the ' Son of man' they are
called
'God
the Father',
'God
the Son' and 'God the Holy Spirit'. These three Persons are uniquely knitted as one
Person in one Spirit. He
is the
only true God.
Example
We are doing many kinds works with our body. Even though
outwardly our body is doing the work, there are three equally important systems in the
body jointly doing the work.
1. Nerves and
brain.
Brain tells the muscle what to do. Same way, the Father tells
the Son
what to do.
2. Blood and
heart.
Heart pumps to supply the required blood to do the work. Same way, the Holy Spirit gives the
necessary power.
3. Muscles
and bones (body).
Body does every work. Same way, the Son, Jesus Christ does
the work by the instruction of the Father and by the power of the Holy Spirit.
We see the body does the work. But the nerves, the blood
and the muscles joined as one are doing the work. We see one body, but they are three different
functional systems, physically united together as one unit, to perform the work by
doing their functions. In the same way,
God is three but one. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy
Spirit are united together as one Person, doing their own
individual functions to perform the work as one God.
Jesus
Christ
In the New Testament we see that
God the Father created everything by Jesus Christ, meaning that he created while
he was God
the Word.
"Eph
3:9 --- from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God,
who created all things by Jesus Christ.
Heb 1:2 Hath in
these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all
things, by whom also he made the worlds."
'God the
Word' that is Jesus Christ has created all things for him and for his pleasure.
"John
1:3
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was
made. Col
1:16 For
by him were all things created, that are in heaven, ---
all things were created by him, and for him:.
Rev 4:11 ---Thou art
worthy, for thou hast created all
things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."
As
One
When the Bible speaks about the
only one God, it refers to the three persons together as one God in one
Spirit. The following verses say that
there is only one God.
"Deut
6:4 Hear,
O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD.
Jas 2:19
Thou
believest that there is one God;
thou doest well." For additional Scriptural verses:-
You
may also refer
Gen 1:1, 1King 8:60, Mark 12:32, and
1Cor 8:4.
As
Three
In the creation, God the Spirit
moved upon the face of the waters means that the Holy Spirit was
also involved in the creation. "Gen 1:1
In
the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness
was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the
waters."
God the Highest said to God the Word to create
them.
"Gen 1:6 And
God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide
the waters from the waters."
(Additional
references
Gen 1:14,20,24)
And God the Word was creating them.
"Gen 1:7
And
God made the firmament, and divided the waters
which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament:
and it was so." (Additional references
Gen
1:15,21,25.)
All the creation was done with the power from ' God the
Spirit'.
"Gen 1:2
---
the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the
waters."
But when God was
creating man, God said “let us”
(plural) make man in our (plural) image. "Gen
1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image,
after our likeness."
It is recorded as, God
(not Gods) made man, as God is one Person. "Gen
1:27 So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."
Throughout the
complete creation all three Persons in God were involved, but it was
recorded as God as if he is singular. At only the creation of man he was recorded as
plural by saying us and our.
Three
in One
In the Old Testament we saw that God is the union of three
Persons as one. The New Testament explicitly says that God the
Father, God the Word and God the Holy Spirit are together as one God.
"1 John
5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and
the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."
