Are
you begotten son
of God to be
with
Jesus Christ
as joint-heirs?
Word of God says that God will beget many sons and will give them glory
as he gave to Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is the Begotten Son of God and he is sitting on
the throne of God on the right hand of God the Father. If we become God’s
begotten sons/daughters, then we will be joint-heirs with Jesus Christ to sit on the throne of God
with Jesus Christ to rule with him. Are you begotten of God?
"1 Peter 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his
abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a
lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 To an inheritance
incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for
you, Rom 8:17 And
if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ;
if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present
time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in
us." If you are not begotten, please continue to read and find how to
become begotten according to the Bible.
God the Word became
the man Jesus
Christ. As man he obeyed God until his death on the cross. God the Holy Spirit
raised him from death and God the Father declares him as the first begotten
Son. God the Father and the Holy Spirit call him as God and seated him on the right hand of his
throne as King of
Kings, Lord of Lords and God of Gods. We think that he deserves it
since he was God
before he became a man voluntarily to
die the cursed death of the cross. So, we think it is proper for
him to receive this high honor.
When we talk about our salvation,
we think that
when we get to heaven, we may get to see Jesus Christ if we are lucky and that
is it. But do you
know that you may even sit with Jesus Christ on the same throne that God the
Father made him sit and to rule. You may rule with him even from the very throne
of God as joint-heir with Christ as his son/daughter if we obey God. "Rev
3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit
with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in
his throne. 22 He that
hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches."
On the contrary, if you are not careful to obey God, you may end up in eternal
damnation. So it is very important to know what the Word of God says
rather than what the preachers say. As you know the truth of God, then it
is up to you whether to obey or to reject the word of God. If you believe
that the Bible is the word of God, please follow this study with care. If you
think that I stray away from the Bible verses, please point out that to me.

'God the
Word' had equal status
with 'God the Most High' until he was born as a Man. He left his Supreme position as God to become a mere
man (made flesh) in order to save his people from their sins.
"John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the
Word was God.14
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,
Matt
1:21
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he
shall save his people from their sins." Jesus Christ
voluntarily laid down his reputation from being God and became a man. After
becoming a man he humbled himself to be a servant of God even to the cursed death
on the cross. "Phil
2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not
robbery to be equal with God: 7
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and
was made in the likeness of men: 8
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient
unto death, even the death of the cross."
"Heb 10:5 Wherefore when he cometh into the
world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou
prepared me: 6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices
for sin thou hast had no pleasure. 7
Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do
thy will, O God." When 'God the
Word' became a Man, he said that he was coming to do the 'will' of 'God the Father'.
Through out his life as a man he has just done that.

Jesus
was careful to fulfill all righteousness, even when they appear to be very
insignificant. "Matt 3:13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to
Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. 14 But John forbad him, saying, I have
need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
15 And Jesus answering said
unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfill all
righteousness. Then he suffered him. 16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up
straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he
saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a
voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
As Jesus Christ was fulfilling the righteousness of God, heaven opened and God said "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am
well pleased." (Note: They were not father and son. They were equal in
status before 'God the Word' became a man.) God calls the man Jesus as beloved
Son because he pleased the Father in
all things. Thus Jesus became the beloved Son before he
was declared as the begotten Son. "Matt
6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his
righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
If we look forward to become the begotten sons, we should first become God's
beloved sons, by fulfilling the righteousness of God.

God the Father and the Holy Ghost have raised the 'beloved Son Jesus' from
his death and declared him as the 'Begotten Son of God.' It was done as the
fulfillment of a prophesy in the second psalm. It is explained in the book of
acts. "Psa 2:7
I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this
day have I begotten thee. Acts 13:33
God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up
Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son,
this day have I begotten thee." It appears to
be a hindrance because God called Jesus as his begotten son even before he was
born as a man. "John
3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his
only begotten Son," God calls the things of his
divine purpose as it has happened even before it happens because as for as God
is concerned it has happened before the foundation of the world. Another example
is this: "Rev 13:8
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written
in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world."
If God does not reveal this very important fact, we will miss it. Here we see
that 'God the Word' who was in equal status to 'God the Most High' became a man.
Then this man was not brought to the same status as before, instead he was
brought to a new relationship status. The man Jesus was made the 'Begotten Son'
of God and 'God the Most High' became 'God the Father.'

God declared the man Jesus Christ as his Begotten Son and raised him to his
right hand and to his throne to rule with the rod of iron.
"Psa 2:7 I will
declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I
begotten thee.
8
Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the
uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9
Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like
a potter's vessel." God has not only
raised Jesus Christ but also he set up a scenario that he will raise all his
sons to his throne to rule with him. "1 Peter 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his
abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a
lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 To an inheritance
incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for
you, Rom 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ;
if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the
sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Rev 2:26 And he that
overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over
the nations: 27
And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall
they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
Rev 3:21 To him
that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also
overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne."

"Matt 17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright
cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This
is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
6 And when the
disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid." God
the Most High calls Jesus as beloved Son and he told his disciples to hear him, which
means to listen to him, to obey him. "Matt
28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in
heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:
and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."
After Jesus Christ has received all powers, he told his disciples to teach
the people all
the things that he had commanded so that the people may also obey them. The reward
to the people is to be seated on the throne of God and that will depend on their
overcoming as Jesus Christ has overcome and that will depend on their obedience to his
commandments.

'God the Word' by his
grace came as Jesus Christ, teaching us
the things to do and to look for the blessed hope of our own
resurrection. "Titus
2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath
appeared to all men, 12
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly,
righteously, and godly, in this present world;
13 Looking for that blessed
hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
14 Who gave himself for us,
that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and
purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." If we
walk according to the teachings of Jesus Christ, God will redeem us
from all iniquity and purify us unto himself.

Christians know that Jesus Christ has lived a pure,
holy, sinless and perfect life. As the Lamb of God he died to give forgiveness
for sins of the whole world. But seldom Christians know that we receive salvation
by his life, even though we receive forgiveness by his death. "Rom 5:10 For if, when we were
enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being
reconciled, we shall be saved by his life." He
died to forgive our sins and to reconcile us with the Father. But our salvation is not forgiveness only.
(Please read the article "The Salvation of the Bible"). We shall be
saved by his life. For this reason he lived his life as an example for us to
see and to walk by it. We are called for this. "1 Pet
2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us,
leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: 22 Who did no sin,
neither was guile found in his mouth: 23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not
again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him
that judgeth righteously:."

The
declaration of God the Father, which made the man Jesus as the Son of God, appears to be an unique incident. We surely will think that
Jesus is the only person who deserves such a high honor and it is rightfully so. He was 'God the Word'
in the beginning. He became a man and it is proper that he is honored in such a
fashion. However, the very purpose of God the Word to become a man is to bring the
obedient men unto himself. "2
Cor 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus
Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye
through his poverty might be rich." By
rewarding the son of man Jesus, God shows us that as sons and daughters of men,
we can also get the same
kind of reward by obedience. If we follow the ways of the Holy Spirit we
will become the sons of God. "Rom
8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God,
they are the sons of God." God wants us to humble ourselves and to live like
Jesus lived, so
that we may also be raised in the same manner as he was raised. "Rom
8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you,
he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by
his Spirit that dwelleth in you." The inheritance of the heavenly kingdom
will come along as God beget us as sons and daughters. "1 Pet
1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which
according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope
by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 To an inheritance
incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for
you."
See how our life is tied in
the hope with
the rewarded life of Jesus Christ. He was the first fruit and we are
right after him. If we suffer with him we will rule with him. If we die with him
we will live with him. "2 Tim 2:10 Therefore I endure
all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which
is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. 11 It is a faithful saying: For if
we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: 12 If we suffer,
we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny
us:" Now he is the Only Begotten. There are many begotten
sons on the making. You can be also one among them with Jesus Christ, if you obey
him.
God the Father has raised Jesus from the dead and declared him as the Son of God. By the abundant mercy of God we also have the same
hope of resurrection so that we will be the kind of first fruits as Jesus
Christ was. God will beget us and we shall
be joint-heirs with Christ. "Jas
1:18 Of his own will
begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of
his creatures. Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from
the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken
your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Rom
8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with
Christ; if
so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified
together."
God will beget us with the
word of truth. This means that our obedience to the word of truth is required so
that God shall declare us as the sons of God, as he has done with our
Lord Jesus Christ. According to the next verse, we must suffer with him
in order to be glorified and to be joint-heirs with Jesus Christ. "Rom 8:29.For
whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the
image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren." God
has predestinated that we must be conformed to the image of his Son. This means
that we must live in the same way as Jesus has lived while he was a Man. Then we
will be born after him. That is, we also will become the begotten sons of God as
Jesus Christ and
will be joint heirs with him.

God requires
from the spiritual person that he brings the flesh
body into subjection to the spirit body so that the flesh body may become a vessel
of God to dwell, rather than to be used for the sensual sin. We know that God
has blessed the marriage and the relationship. But immorality is sin. So, God wants us to keep ourselves pure from all
immoral works of the flesh. For a
person who does not have the spirit man, this is nothing but killing himself and
so he will not understand this spiritual concept. But the Holy Spirit, through the spirit man,
will impart supernatural power into the person, so that victory can be achieved with
joy over
the world and the flesh. But for a person
without the spirit man, it is agony and failure. "1 Cor
2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is
of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13
Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but
which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But
the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are
foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are
spiritually discerned." So if you do not
have the spirit man, ask God very earnestly, but with obedience. If you have
received the spirit man, he will draw you towards the Holy Spirit and you will shun the
fleshly sin. If you are
sincere with the spirit man, and if you desire to receive the Holy Spirit, ask
God and he will give you the Holy Spirit. If you continue to obey the Holy
Spirit, he will dwell in your body. Then your body will become the temple of
the Holy Spirit.
Today, it is a Christian cliché to say 'Jesus is in
my heart' without any victory over sins. In real Christianity, the power of God is involved. "John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them
gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his
name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the
will of man, but of God." If we receive Jesus
Christ as our Lord, that is to submit ourselves as servants to him, then God gives us
power to become the sons of God. So it is up to
us to receive his power and to use it to become the sons of God OR love the
flesh and the world and thus
reject Jesus Christ from being our Lord.

We are all in the body made out of flesh. We are joined with the pleasures and sufferings of our body. To be detached from this
reality is impossible. Does
Jesus Christ requires us to deny this reality? No! But the true Jesus Christ
shall give the spirit of man for reality in spiritual life, which is
as real as the physical life. "John 3:5 Jesus
answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of
the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the
flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Natural birth and the spiritual birth of a person are two separate
happenings. A complete person has a body, a soul and a spirit. An animal
is born with a body. A human is born with a body and a soul. But
he/she shall be born again as Jesus Christ gives the spirit of man. As the physical birth is real, the spiritual birth is
also real. This birth happens after the conviction and
the true repentance of sins.

A
born again person, who has received the spirit of man, will be eager to receive
the Holy Spirit. As children they should ask the Father for the Holy Spirit in
order to receive from him. "Luke 11:13 If ye
then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more
shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?"
God gives the Holy Spirit to his obedient children.
"Acts 5:32
And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the
Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him." Those who
are lead of the Holy Spirit to become children, should him for abiding.
"John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world
cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him;
for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you."

The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is the condition for the glorified resurrection. And
as sons you will be joint-heir with Jesus Christ. "Rom
8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that
the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he
is none of his. 10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because
of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead
dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your
mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you." Now
the victory is yours through your obedience to the doctrine of God,
by the power of the Holy Spirit and by the abiding of the presence of
God. Now you will have victory with joy.
The indwelling Holy Spirit, who is God, shall mortify the sinful deeds of the
flesh body and shall keep the person from sin. Thus we will become the
children of God and become joint-heirs with Christ. "Rom 8:12---, we are debtors, not to the flesh,
to live after the flesh. 13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if
ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 17
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ;
if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified
together."
When God the Word became the man Jesus, he humbled himself
and obeyed God even unto the cursed death on the cross. So, God the Father raised him up from the death and raised
his name above every name on earth, in hell and
in
heaven. Jesus
Christ became
the Lord of lords and the King of kings. "Phil
2:5 ---, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God,
thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no
reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the
likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and
became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also
hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That
at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things
in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue
should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the
Father. Acts 2:36
Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that
same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ." God the Father
and the Holy Spirit call
the Son as God, which makes Jesus Christ God of all.
"Heb 1:8 But
unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and
ever:..9 Thou hast
loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath
anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows."
The Lord Jesus Christ is King of kings, Lord of lords and
God of gods. "Rev
17:14 ... he is Lord of lords, and King
of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
Psa 136:2 O give
thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever. 3 O give
thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever."
Those who will overcome as Jesus Christ has overcome will inherit all things.
But they will all serve the Lord Jesus Christ, who will be the only King of
kings, Lord of lords and God of gods. These will all happen for the glory of
God the Father and by the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
On the day of the coming of the Lord, the sons of
God will be transformed to such a glory which will be equal to the same glory as
of the Lord Jesus Christ. Many Christians claim that when the trumpet sounds they
will fly in the sky with him. But just believing that cliché will not help
them to be caught up in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. The
following verses gives the test to find who are
these sons of God who will be caught up with Jesus Christ.
"1
John 3:2 Beloved, now
are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know
that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is
pure." The sons of God will purify
themselves as Jesus Christ was pure even when he was a Man. "1
John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten
of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not." The
true genuine sons of God will receive his grace, which is his very presence and power. By this grace,
they will overcome the wicked one by keeping themselves from committing any sin.
They will be declared as the begotten sons of God and they will sit on his
throne to rule with him.
God Bless You
